The Technology staff is dedicated to providing a safe and effective learning environment for today’s students so that they may meet the challenges of tomorrow. Oklahoma is a national leader in classroom technology integration. Our schools are connected via fiber-optic network providing hi-speed access to instructional materials from a variety of sources.
Instructional technology incorporates a variety of tools for learning. The district has distance learning capability which provides students the opportunity to take classes offered by colleges and universities. Students may also collaborate with students from other schools, receive instructional material from a variety of resources and participate in electronic field trips. Hubbard TV was launched this year providing student communication to the community via the web. Smart Boards, IPODs, laptops and digital cameras are used at all grade levels.
The district is a member of the Oklahoma Technology Association. This organization provides training and support for teachers and administrators in the integration and use of technology in the classroom.
It is our objective to provide and maintain a reliable technology infrastructure and to assist all staff and students in the use of instructional and administrative systems.
